Loftia multiplayer, co-op and solo play

Playing with friends

• Servers: only players on the same server can play together, but you are not locked to one server Official.
• Group size: the FAQ says you can play with as many friends as you like Official.
• Neighborhoods: link your floating island with others to share decorated spaces Official.
• Adventures: group puzzle runs on research islands, reached by Ryder's Airship Official.
• World Projects: players contribute to shared builds that open new content Official.
• Community Farms: fast group harvests with leaderboards. See the rewards.

Game data lists districts as holding up to 80 players Game data. We found no official player cap, and Qloud jokingly calls the game "Mediumly Multiplayer Online" Official.

Playing solo

Solo play is fully supported, and playing alone does not block progress Official. You will still see other players doing their own thing Steam staff.

Players report that others can join you during Adventures and events Players, so expect some shared moments even when you play alone.

Offline mode

There is none. Loftia requires an internet connection on every platform Official. Staff say there are no current plans for an offline version Steam staff.

Crossplay

Crossplay is being researched and tested, not promised. You must buy Loftia on each platform you want to use Official.

Hiding other players

You can hide names, not characters. Go to Settings, Gameplay, General, then turn off Show Player Names Steam staff. This hides all nametags, including your own, as there is no per-player option yet Steam staff. One player reports that pet names stay visible Steam staff.
