Short answer

You spend Battery charges on crafting and other work, then recharge at energy stations. Batteries hold 5, 10, 20 or 30 charges. Start with solar, raise your Energy Stations permit, then add wind for windy days and hydro for rainy days.

How charges work

Your Battery holds charges. Crafting, refining, placing heavy furniture and some tool use all spend them Press. Recharge at any energy station, including the Solar Panel at your home.

What to build first

  1. Buy the first two Energy Stations permits. They cost only 125 and 1,000 Dew.
  2. Add a second Small Solar Panel. All its materials come from Loftia City.
  3. Build one Small Wind Turbine and one Small Hydro Station so weather helps you either way. This is our suggestion, since each is tuned to different weather.
  4. Use biofuel when you need a charge right now. The Small Biofuel Station turns algae into an instant boost Game data.

Reported costs differ

Sources do not agree on every charge cost. TheGamer reports 5 charges per refining batch Press, while game data lists 1 to 3 energy per Refining Station recipe Game data. Check the cost shown in your game before you start a long batch.

How do you charge your Battery in Loftia?

Use any energy station. Your first one is the Solar Panel at your home. Batteries are rechargeable in any energy station.

How do you get a Wind Turbine in Loftia?

The Small Wind Turbine is tied to the Build Turbine World Project. Craft it at Project Station Lv.2 with 2 Aluminium Bar, 2 Hard Lumber and 2 Plastic Sheet.

Do solar panels work at night in Loftia?

Yes. A demo patch made solar panels generate more energy in rain and at night.
