Your first hour

How to earn your first Dew
Dew is the main currency. You spend it on seeds, permits and upgrades. Early on, sell crops and keep the plots busy.
Tomato and Cauliflower are strong early picks. Each earns about 60 Dew per hour on a single plot, but both need watering often. Compare all crops.
Do not sell fish for cash. They sell for 5 to 15 Dew, while research bundles turn them into tool upgrades.
Keep your Battery charged
Crafting and other work uses charges from your Battery. The starting Battery holds 5. You recharge at an energy station, starting with the Solar Panel at your home Press.
Make Battery Lv.2 first. It doubles your capacity to 10 and needs only 10 Scrap Wire and 2 Mushroom Leather. Then talk to Amani at the Permits Office to place more energy stations. Read the energy guide.
What to aim for next
- Get the Glider. Cliff teaches the recipe in Certified Flying Loftian. It takes you to the Hanging Gardens.
- Craft a Collector Rod. Kassim teaches it in Fish Are Friends. Fishing feeds the first research bundles.
- Finish Field Research. This opens three Research Stations, which unlock most mid-game upgrades.
- Rescue the dog for Joanna. That quest starts pet ownership.
